1. Who we are and what this covers
Unfold Studio is a trading name of Ampl Consulting Limited, registered in Hong Kong, registration number 80753629. Contact Thomas Davies about privacy at thomas@weareampl.com.
This policy covers www.unfoldstudio.co, our enquiry and booking funnel at funnel.unfoldstudio.co, and personal information used for our Unfold business relationships and services.
We decide how and why information is used for our own enquiries, sales, billing, support and guarantee administration. When we handle a contractor client's homeowner leads solely on their instructions, we act for that client under the agreed data-processing terms. The contractor's notice explains its own use of those leads. Limited records retained for our own legal obligations or disputes are a separate purpose.
2. Information we collect
- Enquiry details: name, business name, email, telephone number, website and answers about your construction business, project types and video requirements.
- Bookings: time zone, appointment selection, booking references, confirmation status and changes or cancellations.
- Client services: correspondence, briefs, supplied assets, approvals, relevant account identifiers and authorised permissions needed to deliver the work.
- Campaign leads: contact and project information, service area, qualification answers, campaign source and submission/delivery timestamps, where we operate a client's campaign.
- Performance and guarantee records: lead IDs, call-attempt timestamps and outcomes, appointments, estimates, job values, relevant direct costs, invoices and evidence needed to assess the claim. Call audio is not a standard evidence requirement.
- Billing and preferences: invoices, payment status, payment-provider references, permission records, opt-outs and privacy requests.
- Technical information: IP address, browser/device details, requested pages, timestamps, security logs and advertising identifiers where the relevant technology is used.
Information comes from you, the business you represent, a client who authorises us to operate its campaign, and the connected services used for that activity. Required form fields are marked. Without the information needed for an enquiry or booking, we may be unable to complete it. Optional marketing choices are separate. Please do not send sensitive information unrelated to the service.
3. How we use information
We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, arrange discovery calls, assess suitability, create approved advertising, run agreed campaigns and forms, deliver leads, provide support, administer billing, measure results, verify guarantees, secure systems, comply with law and handle disputes.
Our enquiry funnel saves submitted details before you book a call. This lets us respond even if you do not finish booking. Authorised team members can see the submission and booking status through our business systems.
For guarantee verification, we use the minimum relevant CRM, call-event and job records needed to check the result and the 80% five-minute response requirement. Unrelated customer details can be redacted. This does not automatically authorise recording or access to all your customer records.
We explain promotional uses and obtain permission where required. You can opt out through the method provided in a message or by contacting us. Reading this policy or submitting an enquiry is not blanket permission for automated marketing calls/texts, recording, tracking or unrelated promotions.
4. Who receives information
Authorised staff and delivery contractors receive information needed for their work. The services used depend on the activity; not every provider receives every field.
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Railway | Website and application hosting, technical logs and storage of enquiry/booking records. |
| GoHighLevel | CRM contact records, enquiry answers, pipeline status and related business communications. |
| Calendly | Discovery-call availability, booking, changes and confirmation information. |
| Slack | Internal enquiry and booking notifications for authorised team members. |
| Meta | Advertising and browser measurement on the enquiry funnel, as described below. |
For paid client work, we may also use the agreed payment, document, email, creative and client-system providers. The client processing agreement identifies the relevant arrangements for homeowner data. Platform and payment providers can act independently for parts of their own activities under their notices.
Homeowner enquiries are delivered to the contractor identified when the enquiry is collected. Necessary disclosures may also be made to professional advisers, authorities or parties to a business transfer, where lawful and with appropriate protections. We do not treat a contractor's lead submission as permission to market another client's services to that person.
5. Cookies, browser storage and advertising
The main studio website: the illustrative quiz changes only local page state and does not submit your answers. Its fonts and videos are served with the site. The main website currently has no embedded advertising pixel or third-party analytics script. Hosting still involves technical connection information.
The enquiry funnel: session storage keeps form progress, time-zone choices and booking information in your browser. Local and session storage also prevent duplicate advertising-conversion events. Session storage normally ends with the browser session; local storage can remain until cleared. An application's time limit does not itself delete the server-side enquiry record.
The funnel uses the Meta Pixel for PageView and, after a successful submission or verified booking, Lead and Schedule events. Meta can receive device/browser information, identifiers, page context and event information. The configured events do not deliberately include the form's name, email, telephone or answer fields. Meta may associate event information with other information it holds under its own privacy policy.
Advertising disclosures can count as sharing, sale or targeted advertising under applicable US laws even where there is no cash payment. Browser controls can block or clear storage, and Meta offers account-level advertising preferences. The site does not currently alter its behaviour in response to the older browser Do Not Track signal. That signal is distinct from Global Privacy Control.
You may contact us to exercise applicable opt-out rights. Required consent or opt-out obligations still apply; this notice does not replace them or represent that every browser control automatically stops all server-side processing. The current funnel does not provide a dedicated privacy-preferences panel. We assess requests and any recognised opt-out signal obligations under the laws applicable to the processing.
6. International handling and protection
Our company is registered in Hong Kong and serves US businesses. Authorised staff and the providers used for your service may access or process information internationally, including in Hong Kong and the United States. Provider hosting and remote-access locations vary by service. Contact us for the arrangements relevant to your information.
We are responsible for applying the contractual and operational protections required for the processing and transfers we arrange. We limit access to relevant personnel and use appropriate safeguards for the information involved. We investigate incidents and provide notices required by applicable law and our agreements. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. How long information is kept
Retention depends on the purpose, the relationship, applicable law and any unresolved dispute. We consider these criteria:
- Enquiry and booking records are needed to respond, manage appointments and maintain the resulting business relationship.
- Contracts, invoices and required business records are retained for the relevant legal record-keeping and claims periods.
- Client-controlled lead data is returned or deleted under the client's processing agreement, subject to lawful retention requirements and the applicable backup cycle.
- Guarantee evidence is limited to what is needed to assess the claim and deal with related disputes or legal duties.
- Technical records are retained for the security, operation and troubleshooting purpose that applies to them.
- Minimum suppression records may remain so we can respect an opt-out.
We do not treat every lead record as an accounting record or a dispute as a reason to retain all customer data indefinitely. Contact us about the retention of a particular record. Browser storage and server/provider records have separate retention arrangements.
8. Your rights and choices
Contact thomas@weareampl.com to request access or correction, ask about our use of information, object to marketing or exercise other rights that apply. Hong Kong law provides access and correction rights. Depending on the applicable US state law and its coverage, you may also have rights to deletion, portability, correction, relevant advertising/sale/sharing opt-outs, limits on certain sensitive-data uses and an appeal.
We verify requests proportionately and respond within the applicable legal period. If we cannot fulfil a request, we explain the reason and any applicable appeal route. You can ask us to reconsider a decision by emailing the same address with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. An authorised agent may contact us with evidence of authority; additional verification may be needed where permitted.
For information we process solely for a contractor, that contractor is normally the appropriate contact. If you contact us, we help route the request and assist as required. We do not retaliate for the lawful exercise of privacy rights.
You can complain to the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data or another competent regulator, including the relevant US state authority. You do not need our permission to complain.
9. Children and recordings
Our business services are intended for adults, and contractor campaigns are intended for adults seeking relevant property services. If you believe a child has supplied information inappropriately, contact thomas@weareampl.com so we can assess and address it.
Call recording is not required to prove the five-minute response condition. If recording, transcription or a separate use of identifiable audio/video is introduced for a service, it needs an appropriate purpose, notice, permissions where required, access restrictions and retention arrangements. Supplied audio or video does not itself authorise voice cloning.
10. Changes and contact
This policy was last updated on 31 October 2026. We publish the current version here and provide additional notice or obtain permission where a material change requires it. An update does not retrospectively authorise an incompatible use or change a signed service agreement.
